On 10 September 2024 we held our regular coordination meeting, and we are excited to share all the progress that we have made in the ReaLiTea project! Here are some important highlights:
We are already making good progress with the Teacher Research Literacy Development Framework. This is a resource that teachers can use to identify their research literacy strengths was well as areas where they can improve. We already have prepared a first draft of the framework and we are ready to revise it for dissemination in mid-2025.
Initial work has been made on the learning materials that we are going to produce to help teachers develop their research literacy skills. We have completed much of the initial work, such as literature reviews and research that will feed into the materials, and we discussed the scope and format of these materials, which will be the focus of our work in the coming months.
We are putting the finishing touches on our digital community of practice hub, where teachers can find news and resources to support their research and professional development. This will integrate with the OASIS resources, giving teachers a resource that is even more useful than the sum of its parts. Watch this space for an update when the hub comes online!
Plans are in place for an edited volume on research literacy, which will present the state of the art in teacher research literacy and research engagement.
We are all very pleased that are ongoing efforts in the ReaLiTea project are beginning to pay off as our deliverables take shape, and we look forward to sharing more updates as we continue to make strides toward our goals.
